New Video Documentary on El Tigre Premiered at TIES Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference September 8-10, 2010.
The documentary team went to El Tigre in June 2010 to film the story of the South-South Project. The documentary showcases the finished attractions, new infrastructure, El Tigre business owners and residents, and the Rios Tropicales team involved with the project. You will hear from Rafael Gallo about the history of Rios' involvement in El Tigre, and from Walter Monge about what it was like to travel to Bhutan to teach Bhutanese guides how to guide rafts. Marianela Feoli, the General Manager of Fundecooperacion, the funding organization for the South-South project, talks about how El Tigre is a model of sustainable community development. Hear from Mario Achoy, owner of the butterfly garden, and Javier Mora, owner of the Internet Cafe, and his daughter Helen who manages the cafe.

Documentary Team Travels to El Tigre in June
The 2nd documentary team spent a week in Costa Rica in early June at El Tigre covering all the newly finished rainforest attractions and hearing the stories behind each from the El Tigre residents who own and manage each attraction. The video documentary will premiere at TIES Ecotourism Conference Sept 8-10. Stay tuned for more.

Green Living Project premiered its documentary about Rios Tropicales and El Tigre in New York City on July 22nd. More GLP events are scheduled throughout the country.
The Earth Plants the Future International Tree-Planting Project on June 5th was a huge success. Sponsored by Rios Tropicales, 300 hundred local and international citizens turned out to help plant over 6,000 trees at the put-in of the Pacuare River in San Martin, close to El Tigre.
