Delicate Complicated Beauty
Orchids are some of the more complicated and rare plants on the planet. Orchids in the rainforest are most often fround growing in trees. Contrary to what many people think Orchids are not parasitic. They are air plants that anchor themselves to a tree's bark. Each type of orchid has a special fungus which is an essential part of its lifecycle and without which the orchids do not survive well. It takes special care and attention to get them to grow outside their wild habitat. El Tigre's Orchid Garden is located right next to the Serpentarium, just down the road from the Internet Cafe.
