Visitors can get to El Tigre by car, turning down toward the Rio Pacuare Gorge at Santa Marta and following the signs to the town and its attractions. Most visitors, however, choose to book multi-day rafting and rainforest vacation with one of the local eco-lodges, and to include a hike up to El Tigre as part of their vacation adventure. El Tigre can be explored by car, horseback, on ATVs or on foot.
